Draft King Analysis

This was a bad draft. I don't see how you can spin it in a positive fashion.

The Chiefs traded down, which on the surface looked potentially clever. But then KC proceeded to take a DT and a TE with its two second round picks. This for a team in desperate need at CB and WR. Do you remember how bad they were burned in the playoffs by the Colts?!? How that cost their defensive coordinator his job? Well, it looks like that has been forgotten in Kansas City, as the Chiefs didn't take a CB or S in the entire draft.

Yes, Parker and McIntyre may contribute, and this was a deep draft at WR, but why not spring for a WR at the #61 spot? They already have Tony Gonzalez on board. USC WR Keary Colbert, who went one pick later to Carolina, would've made worlds more sense. Or CB Derrick Strait, who was also on the board at that point.

Overall, I was not impressed by what Kansas City did, and I expect the team to pay the price this season for its choices.
