Best Free NFL Draft Simulators (updated July 4, 2026)
Lou Pickney, DKDB Curator
Welcome to the DKDB curated list of popular 2027 NFL mock draft simulators and draft tools. These NFL mock draft simulator programs are all free to use for single-person drafts without requiring a login.
This is my favorite on both desktop and mobile. The AI trade offers are easy to gauge, team needs and upcoming picks are clearly visible, and there are elements paywalled by other sites which are available here for free. PFSN (also known as PFN in some older listings) has a high-quality product.
Great ease of use and free options, including the choice of AI pick and trade suggestions. Live probabilities show how likely prospects are to be available 10, 20, and 30 picks from a given spot. You can customize all sorts of options, including Trade Offer Frequency.
A relative newcomer, Big Board Lab features 32 AI general managers with real personalities and live trades. Very efficient as far as fitting information on-screen. Visualization via formation with colors representing team needs is helpful. I really like how the War Room generates reactions and thoughts, an element which adds to to the suspension of disbelief and fun factor.
Buzz is one of my favorite sites for in-depth scouting details about top talent, but their simulator is quite good as well. Full 32-team control, with AI trading and the option to adjust the unpredictability level. Perhaps most intriguing is how this simulator offers five different trade value charts (Jimmy Johnson, Fitzgerald-Spielberger, Rich Hill, Harvard, and Chase Stewart) which provides interesting perspective.
Per the site's description, the goal is "to provide an intelligent and accurate mock experience, with a variety of pre-draft rankings to choose from, realistic trade valuations, and a simple UI that still offers extensive customizations under the hood for the true obsessives of the draft world. It's free to use with no ads and no paywalls." This is a good choice for people overwhelmed by complex options who just want to run a mock draft sim.
A presentation of The Draft Zone, MockDrafter provides 11 big board sources, including Tankathon, CBS, ESPN, and NFL.com. One of its strengths is the inclusion of scouting reports and Mock Draft ADP (Average Draft Position) for top prospects.
There are a wide variety of options here, from overall draft variance to team-by-team randomizing of analyst draft boards. Per the site: "The base 2027 simulator (picking one team, running a full mock, using any official big board, and saving up to 3 of your own custom big boards) is free."
Per the site, "Prospect rankings are built on full-season film study, not highlights or box scores. We evaluate every snap available, focusing on traits, technique, processing speed, and consistency against top competition."
Positional team needs are reflected by color and update as selections are made, which is helpful. The AI model provides a suggested pick for those needing inspiration.
