Subject: Adding more rounds
Hey Lou, I noticed while searching your sight that you did a second round
fro the '05. I was curious as to why you haven't kept doing a second
round. think it would be cool if you added a second and maybe even a
third round projection. BTW, love that you've added comments to your
picks. It really adds to the fun of your sight.
Lou: For me, it's been a matter of time constraints. I have done Draft King in my spare time, and thus I've been able to produce only a limited amount of content for the site.
That's all about to change. I've decided to turn my internet ventures into a full-time business; I've given notice at my current job, and I'm going to be working on this site (and a few others) on a full-time basis.
Consequently, you can look forward to more content and analysis on this site, along with explanations below picks and multiple rounds, with frequent updates as events transpire.

Subject: Fresno State's Bear Pascoe
quick question, in regards to Fresno State's Bear Pascoe. If Pascoe declares for this year's draft, do see him as a potential first or second round pick?
Lou: Tight end Bear Pascoe has the size to play in the NFL at 6'5" 260. He's not a particularly fast runner (he runs a 4.8-4.85 forty), but he has turned into a strong receiving threat for Fresno State. He had a big breakthrough in the triple overtime thriller against Texas A&M two weeks ago, scoring three TDs (including the last-second score that forced the game into OT), and he's the type of player who can break long plays not by outrunning the defense but, in many cases, by muscling through them.
I doubt that Pascoe would end up as a first round pick -- teams investing in that position in the first round seldom go for guys who don't have at least above-average speed. I'm not sure that entering early would necessarily be in his best interest, as more seasoning at the tight end spot would serve him well, and he might slip to day two of the draft if he comes out for 2008.
But by staying in school, Pascoe could be a great addition as a late second or early third rounder in the 2009 Draft. He's the type of solid player who fans may overlook because he's not spectacular, but who coaches appreciate because of their work ethic and fundamentals.
