Great site, but I’m going to have to respectfully say you’re crazy. There is NO way Vince Young will fall to the Raiders. Also the Cowboys have a snowballs chance in hell of picking a WR. They spent mad scrilla on TO, and they have more pressing needs in the secondary

Lou: If Young doesn't fall to the Raiders, then where will he go? I've heard from a couple of people who think that #7 is an unrealistically low projection for him, but the most likely scenario for Young going before the Oakland pick is predicated on New Orleans not trading down from the #2 spot (and I don't do mock trades on the site.) The most popular prediction is for the New York Jets to trade up from #4 to #2, but I remain firm in my belief that with their salary cap mess, combined with the trade for Patrick Ramsey (who could prove to be a real steal for just a sixth round pick if he pans out), the Jets just have too many other needs to fill (DE, OT, CB, C) that make moving up an unrealistic proposition. Unless the Titans go Young over Leinart at #3 (unlikely), you're looking at Green Bay at #5 and San Francisco at #6. Both of those teams used first rounders on QBs in last year's draft, and with talent like A.J. Hawk, Michael Huff and Vernon Davis almost certain to be on the board, it will be really tough for a team to make a tempting enough offer to move up to either the #5 or #6 spots.

Subject: Mock Draft

Thought you were right on with the mock. I was curious if you were planning on doing a round 2 mock as well.

Lou: Thanks, glad you like it. I might do a two-rounder at some point. The level of accuracy begins to really drop off when you get to that point, and with trades, etc. it can get ridiculous, but I might give it a shot. My preference is to stick with the one round draft, since it gives me the flexibility to change things around with relative ease. Making just one change can send a ripple effect down the rest of the board.

If nothing else, it would add a name to the list of guys projected as Washington's potential second-round pick on HailRedskins.com.

Subject: The Chiefs and a CB...

Will the Chiefs be looking in a different direction since the acquisition of CB Lenny Walls and CB Chris Johnson?

Lou: I think it makes them less likely to go CB. Kansas City looks to be aiming at WR at this point, though Lenny Walls only played in seven games in 2004 and in 2005, while Chris Johnson didn't play in a single game until last season, so it's not as if the Chiefs added two seasoned pros to the rosted. If a player like Tye Hill is still on the board, and if both Santonio Holmes and Chad Jackson are gone... I think the Chiefs might go with Hill. But it makes it easier for them to go WR in round one if there's a close call involved.
