Subject: Steelers take Sinorice Moss?

I have been following your mocks for the last few years, and I think for the most part you do a good job

But I cannot believe the Steelers would take Moss at #32. They might take Jackson or Holmes if one of them fell, but Moss is strictly 2nd round talent. He is not THAT fast, and he is only 5'8". I think the Steelers would reach for Hagan or Williams before taking Moss.

That said, I believe in your 4/13/06 mock Nick Mangold, Daniel Bullocks, D'Qwell Jackson, Manny Lawson, and Thomas Howard are all still on the board. Take the highest rated player amng them. My guess is that it would be Mangold.

Lou: After Derek Hagan's shaky performance the week of the Senior Bowl (where he had trouble catching the ball), I don't see him being a first rounder. Nick Mangold is someone who seems to be held in high regard by many draft observers, and who knows, maybe Pittsburgh would go with him. I like the OLB depth in this draft, including D'Quell Jackson and Thomas Howard (whichever teams end up with them will get a good player.)

5'8" Sinorice Moss is an interesting prospect in that some people see him as a first rounder (or a borderline first rounder), while others feel that he's strictly second round (or lower) material. He seems to be a good fit for what Pittsburgh needs in a replacement for Antwan Randle-El, but then again if Pittsburgh opted to go WR later in the draft and instead went OLB or offensive lineman at #32, that wouldn't surprise me, either. The Steelers have all kinds of flexibility going into the draft.

One thing about his speed -- his listed 40 yard dash time is a 4.38. If that's not fast... then what is?

Subject: Tye Hill a steal for the Chiefs?

Could Tye Hill be a steal for the Chiefs? They are also talking Kamerion Wimbley, or Chad Jackson? Quite Possibly could their be two Holmes in KC?

Lou: If Hill pans out, then yes he would be a good value pick for the Chiefs. I recently re-adjusted my mock to put Hill one spot above Kansas City at #19 to San Diego, which also could use a corner, but Kansas City would also benefit from a young WR prospect like Jackson. It all depends on how highly the Chiefs have the prospects in that range (Jimmy Williams and Tye Hill for the corners, and Santonio Holmes and Chad Jackson for the wide receivers) and if they might try to move up a few spots, but realistically there should be a good WR or CB on the board at #20. As for Kamerion Wimbley, I know that some people see him as a rising star going into the draft, but because of his lack of bulk, he'll potentially be stuck in pass rushing only situations... unless the right team finds the proper scheme to take advantage of his blazing speed.
