Dear Lou:

I'm a huge cowboy fan. I'm glad Bill Parcells signed a two year contract. This is what I think they should do. Use their 1st round pick on a middle linebacker to replace Dat Nyguen. SIgn a top tackle in free agency. And they should sign T.O. Parcells can handle him. Keyshawn, Glenn and T.O. for Bledsoe to throw to. What do you think.

Tony

Lou: I think taking a MLB like Abdul Hodge would be a smart move for Dallas. Will they do that? We'll see. Parcells didn't come back with the goal of developing talent long-term for the next coach, so a player (like a MLB) who could start right away versus a rookie WR would seem to be better. But Dallas might see better value in the second round at MLB, or the team could opt to fill their MLB hole in free agency.

Subject: just wondering

do any of your drafts feature trades? i was hpoing the packers would trade thier 5th overall pick for a 1st and 2 second rounders because i feeel there is a lot of second round talent at linebacker which is where I think the packers will be looking...if the packers trade that 5th, who would be looking to get that 5th pick and how much would they realistically give up? you do a great job with your site, keep up the good work

Lou: I don't project trades. That only causes problems and confusion, from what I've found.

The Green Bay trade you outlined is a possibility... It all depends on who wants to move up to #5, of course. Clearly the Packers need quantity in good players, and while one playmaker like A.J. Hawk would be great, it'll take more than just Hawk to turn things around for Green Bay.
