As the intital author of "I almost vomited on my laptop" I must apologize and slowly remove my foot from my mouth. Kudos. You gotta admit though - when pick #7 rolled around on draft day you too thought the Vikings for sure were going to take Mike Williams. :) I think at that precise moment (3/25/05) I was high on Derrick Johnson. I still am. Here's to Troy proving his worth - you've already more than proven yours.

Lou: I didn't anticipate that you'd find this site from that, but it's cool that you took the time to write. No apologies needed, though; the NFL Draft is a tough one to predict, sometimes even the early spots, and at that point there was a real argument about Alex Smith vs. Aaron Rodgers and who was better.
As for the Mike Williams prediction, I had the Vikings slated for Shawne Merriman, though I personally thought that they would take Williams if he was on the board. I wrote in my running commentary of the 2005 draft that I thought the top two prospects were Ronnie Brown and Mike Williams, and while Cadillac Williams might have me rethinking some of that at this point, I'm not backing down from the support for Mike Williams (who, you might note, had a TD catch in Sunday's win over Green Bay).
Regarding Troy Williamson, I think he will prove his worth. Typically it takes 3 years for a WR to really break out (always good to remember that for fantasy leagues when you're looking for that late WR sleeper: snag a guy who's going into his third season). You see it with Michael Jenkins emerging in his second year in Atlanta, but in general it takes that third season for everything to "click". For every Randy Moss or Anquan Boldin, there are many, many rookie WRs who have to bide their time and wait as they learn the system.
