Subject: Question about you 2004 Mock Draft
I am a Carolina Panther fan who is currently off at school in Raleigh,
North Carolina, and I have a question about the pick you have the panthers
choosing at #31. I just wanted to know why you have the panthers taking
Jonathan Vilma, LB, Miami with their pick even though they have picked up
two quality linebackers in brandon short, and jessie armstead. If you
could respond and let me know why you have them selecting a lineback, that
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Lou: Jeff, point taken on the LB pickup. You'll notice that I now project the Panthers taking WR Michael Clayton at the #31 spot. I could also see Carolina potentially going with a CB at that spot, but with the depth at WR in this draft, why in the world would the Panthers not want a piece of that action? Steve Smith, Muhsin Muhammad and Michael Clayton sounds like a nice WR trio to me.
