Hello Lou thank you for responding to me because I love talking NFL draft no matter how early it is. I have seen your new (updated) mock draft and I see that you moved Steven Jackson up to #6 with the Lions. I like that pick for them becuase I do feel that he will be a better more consistent NFL RB than Kevin Jones. I also agree to your assesment that where the two TE's (Winslow and Troupe) go will be a huge story in the draft.
Lou: I'd give Jackson the edge at this point over Jones, though both have big potential for great things in the NFL. Size is a concern for Jones, though I have heard comparisons made with how Clinton Portis has succeeded in Denver despite not having an Eddie George-sized frame. But if Jones can have a dynamite combo, he might be able to move past Jackson -- I don't see the gap there as being particularly huge between the two talented RBs.

If Kevin Jones is avalable and we take Perry..The fans would be ticked..
Plus number 32..Rodney leslie? Are you a Dolphins fan???
Lou: I'm no Dolphins fan, for sure. I've since revised the board and moved Jones ahead of Perry, though that's more because of Jones' rise in the rankings in many scouts' lists. I still think that Perry would be a wonderful fit for the Patriots, working as a great feature back in conjunction with the speedy Kevin Faulk.
As for Rodney Leslie, that seems unlikely the more I look at it gives that the Pats used a Top 15 pick on a defensive tackle last year. But a speedy WR at the end of the first round for New England would not be an unbelievable turn of events, helping to inject some youth into the Patriots' WR corps.
